Why pears? Why now? Because someone asked specifically for them. More than once. And nicely. I wasn't enthusiastic initially. But I said I would. So I did. And as usual, made some discoveries along the way. Because they stand still I worked from real life and although the shadows moved, I liked seeing the actual form rather than a 2 dimensional version of it. One of them is beginning to rot, so I think I will eat it now.
