Amidst avalanches of bad news, there was the moon, rising over Angel Island, spreading its soft light across the water and lighting up a lavender sky. It was a small moment that stayed with me all weekend as we bathed ourselves in Thanksgiving, just the two of us, savoring our quiet time together in the natural world.
